The 2018 Sioux Falls Marathon to feature a 10k race, a 10k Team Challenge and a 5k Challenge; Registration for 2018 is now open

The Sioux Falls Marathon is excited to announce the addition of a 10k, a 10k Team Challenge and the Miracle 5k Challenge to its race offering for the 2018 Sioux Falls Marathon, which will be held Sunday, Sept. 9. Registration is open for all races HERE.
The 2018 event will have a new look with time changes to go along with the addition of the 10k and Challenge events. The full marathon will start and finish inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center for the second straight year and will begin at 6:30 a.m.
The half marathon and 10k will begin at 7 a.m. and will also start and finish at the PREMIER Center. The start of the Miracle 5k will be pushed back to 10:15 a.m. to allow runners to run multiple races. Participants of the Miracle 5k and the 5k Challenge will finish inside the PREMIER Center after starting the race outdoors.

Saturday, Sept. 8
- Sioux Falls Marathon Expo – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Denny Sanford PREMIER Center
Sunday, Sept. 9
- Full Marathon – 6:30 a.m.
- Half Marathon & 10k – 7 a.m.
- Miracle 5k – 10:15 a.m.
“The Sioux Falls Marathon Committee has been working hard to continue the growth of this event,” Race Director Tim Evans said. “We have been listening to our past participants and the running community and will continue to make improvements to make the Sioux Falls Marathon a marquee event. We appreciate the outstanding support from our local runners and are looking forward to a great event in 2018.”
In 2017, the Sioux Falls Marathon saw a record number of registrants for the second straight year. Registrations for the Marathon, Half Marathon and Miracle 5k totaled 3,026 runners, surpassing last year’s total of 2,804. The 2017 Sioux Falls Marathon raised over $28,000 for the Sanford Children’s Hospital/Children’s Miracle Network.
