Sidewalk Arts Festival

Info: The Sidewalk Arts Festival is a FREE outdoor event with over 300 vendor booths featuring the region’s best fine art, folk art and craft artisans. Enjoy activities for kids, live entertainment, food vendors and more on the streets surrounding the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science! This festival is a fundraiser for the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion and is the region’s largest one-day arts festival.

Sioux Falls Germanfest

Date: Saturday, September 10, 2016

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Info: Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs to this FREE event and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the Annual Germanfest! This event draws an estimated 15,000 people every year. Bands begin at 2:00p.m. and ends at 10:00p.m. Germanfest is for all ages, family oriented and full of culture.

Info:The Outdoor Campus is located in Sertoma Park, one of the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Department's city parks. In Sertoma Park, you will find a huge picnic shelter, six "playpods" designed for all different ages and abilities and great scenery along the Big Sioux River. 

Sertoma Butterfly House & Marine Cove 

Hours: Monday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Sundays: 11:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Info: The Butterfly House is home to butterflies from all around the world. Step into a whole new world, where tropical flowers surround you and it’s always a balmy 80-85 degrees year-round! Hundreds of colorful butterflies gracefully flit by to welcome you to their home. The Marine Cove at the Sertoma Butterfly House displays hundreds of different species of fishes and corals in over 10,000 gallons of aquariums.  From coral reefs and anemones to seahorses and tangs, our saltwater exhibits are home to marine life from the Indo-Pacific region as well as the Caribbean. Reach out to touch sharks and stingrays. Our touch pool animals create the perfect opportunity to get to know marine life in our landlocked state!
